Green Man Sport Hub is a reading-room and quiz app for the classic gentleman's sports. We collect as little as possible. We do not require an account, we do not sell your data, and your profile photo never leaves your device. This page explains exactly what we store and why.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Green Man Sport Hub mobile application (the “App”) and the services at greenmansporthub.online (the “Service”). If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
If you choose to set a profile picture, the App asks for permission to use your camera or photo library. The image you pick or capture is saved locally as your avatar and is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can remove it at any time from the Profile screen.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
We process the minimal data above to provide the online features you request (our legitimate interest in operating the App). We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Data may be processed by our infrastructure providers (e.g. server hosting and database) solely to run the Service, under appropriate safeguards.
The Reading Room opens third-party websites (such as encyclopaedias and sport governing bodies) inside the App. Those sites are operated by third parties under their own privacy policies; we do not add tracking to, or receive data from, the pages you read.
Leaderboard scores and honours tied to your anonymous player ID are retained while the Service operates so rankings remain meaningful. You may request deletion of your server-side data (see “Your rights”). Deleting the App removes all device-stored data, including your photo.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Because we don't collect names, emails, or accounts, the data we hold is limited to your chosen club name, anonymous player ID, best quiz score, and honours. To request deletion, email [email protected] — including your membership number (shown on the Profile screen) helps us locate your record.
The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond an optional display name. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
